Project Goals
The main goal of RRBRP is to directly assist landowners with and educate them about the restoration, protection, and effective
management of riparian areas within the Red River Basin. This education and assistance will lead to proper functioning riparian areas,
resulting in long-term measurable improvements in the ecological health of the river system. Healthy riparian corridors offer benefits
for water quality, as well as flood damage reduction and wildlife habitat.
As the RRBRP continues to provide valuable services to landowners with threatened or impaired riparian areas, the project also
continues to provide educational materials and expertise to enlighten the people of the Red River Basin regardless to whether they
own land or not.
